As shown in Figure 6.1, the NNPM serves as a mandate and provides direction on nutrition in the
                           country, which is then translated into action via the NPANM. In order to mobilise the activities
                         outlined in the NPANM, the TWGs under the NCCFN work based on the priority areas and the core
                                                 enabling and facilitating strategies under the NPANM.



                           Apart from that, NPANM activities are implemented at various levels within the multi-sectoral
                           framework. At the national level, the implementation of NPANM is coordinated by the Nutrition
                        Division with the support from other divisions under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Meanwhile, the
                         implementation of NPANM activities at state, district or clinic level is coordinated by State Health
                                                        Departments and District Health Offices.



                        Stakeholder engagement and cooperation are continuously conducted with the relevant ministries,
                            Non-government Organisations (NGOs), professional bodies, universities and private sectors
                        especially the food industries, as well as international bodies such as the World Health Organization
                              (WHO), UN Agencies and ASEAN countries to strengthen the implementation of NPANM.
