John 10 verses 12 to 13, Psalm 23 vs 4
Yes, though I walk through the (the deep sunless)
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me, your rod (to protect) and your staff
(to guide), they comfort me.
The hired hand is not the shepherd and does
not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming,
he abandons the sheep and runs away, then the
wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away
because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep,
bringing them to submission and obedience unto God. A wise child
that brings joy to his father, not rebellious unto God and a foolish
child that brings sorrow to his mother.
Proverb 15; 20; 10: 1; 23: 24.
A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish man despises his mother.
The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.
