He made me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet
waters. According to Psalms 23: 1 – 2 that is nurtured. Underline the
word quiet water, peaceful environment. It means our home must
not be a riot ground everyday fighting and nagging, those are not
healthy for nurture. Hence make your home comfortable for them
and habitable
· He lay down his life: I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd
lays down his life for the sheep. Just as the father knows me and I
know the father – and lay down my life for the sheep. John 10: 11,
15. By this, we know love, that he laid down his life for us and we
ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. This is the sacrifice we
made for our family and the body of Christ. It cost Jesus his life. It
cost a lot to be a parent, so many have dropped their career, life
dream or goals etc. to nurture their children. To some the price it
will cost us is ego, stubbornness, bad mouth, and submissiveness,
you gave up your right to some certain things because of the peace
of your home so that your children won't grow up with such bad
character making trouble everywhere because they see you making
trouble. Note is both husband and wife. We pay the price for the
glory ahead and that is the true love. God compare His love with the
love of a nursing mother who cannot forget his child (Isaiah 49: 15 )
"Can a mother forget her nursing child, that she should have no
compassion on the son of her womb? , Though He recognizes that a
good shepherd even in pain and life-threatening issues does not turn
his back on the sheep. Salvation is free but costly
