The job is to be the family shepherd under the chief shepherd, Jesus
Christ. If you confuse about how to go about it, look at how the chief
shepherd plays His role and imitate Him. It starts with the parent
entering the door, and then leads your children through the door,
who is Christ (John 10: 9; 14: 6). The reason why we must pass
through the door is that the arms of flesh will fail us (Psalm 146: 3).
We should not lean on our own understanding (Proverb 3: 5 – 6; 1
Corinthian 3: 18), and of our own we can do nothing (Jon 15: 5;
Zachariah 4:6; Philippians 4: 13). We have our enemy which is the
devil that roaring’s like lion (not the lion) seeking who to devour (1
Peter 5: 8). In order that Satan might not outwit us (2 Corinthian 2 :
11), Satan also desire to have your child just like we see in case of
Peter and sin has desire too ( Luke 22 : 31 ; Genesis 4 : 7) , The days
are evil (Ephesians 5 : 16 ) and Satan has no time (Revelation 12:12).
The world is ever near us, around us and within (Psalm 57: 4 – 6; Jon
16: 33; 2 Corinthian 10: 3). It only takes one who is born of God to
overcome the world (1 John 5: 4). Life without Christ is crisis.
One is just seating on gunpowder any heat it can explode. Heat
could be the world tribulation or Satan comes with its tempting
skills as we see in the book of Job, hurdles of life, and difficulties
because life is not a bed of roses and God did not promise us a
smooth journey but a glorious end (John 16: 33; 1 Thessalonians
3: 4). Those things Satan put up to separate us from the love of
God in Christ Jesus (Rom 8: 35). Not just going to church but
being rooted in Christ (Col 2: 7).
