I had a discussion with a Christian mother over what she is exposing

her children to and her response was funny that when the time comes

she will cast the demon away as if she is God herselves just like Eli.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own

understanding; in all your ways submit to him. And he will make

your paths straight (Proverb 3: 5-6).

It involves supporting their overall development and preparing them

for life. A good upbringing moulds a child into a good human being

and is also shaping them for a better future.

More so Shepherd their heart so that their life won't be taken up

with the cares of this life or pleasures of life and chase after

everything in this world. The scripture summarizes it in three

ways in 1 Jon 2: 16 – 17 ''For everything in this world – the lust

of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – comes not

from the Father but from the world, which passes away

(Compare 2 Tim 2: 22). Not allowing the desire of those things

take hold of their heart and the word of God being choked to the

point of becoming unfruitful in their life. Being mindful that there

is god of this age whose duty is to blind their mind. (2 Corinthian

4: 4).
