Tech Corner-continued
Place a sheet of parchment paper or waxed paper on the front face of dash, and then carefully place the veneer over the
paper. This allows for exact placement without the two adhering together. Carefully start to slide the paper partially out
from between the veneer and the dash. Then using a small roller (like a wall paper seem roller) with pressure start to role
the veneer. A piece of paper can be used to make sure you do not damage the new veneer. Slide the wax paper several inches
at a time while you continue rolling. Also do the same with the back side of the glove box door.
NOTE: I touchup the black paint around glove box while waiting for contact cement to cure. I also removed the right crash
rail and applied new vinyl to it since it had several small cracks in it. The use of a heat gun or hair dryer is beneficial to
form it around all of the compound curves.
