GFEBS Cost Management is a 2-week Instructor Led Training (ILT) course taught at Ft Jackson, SC.
This course can be instructed via Mobile Training Team (MTT) for organizations who need the
training and meet the minimum course load requirements. This course will provide in-depth GFEBS
instructions related to Cost Management: Communicating the Fundamentals of Costs, Identifying
Funds Master Data Elements, Identify Cost Assignment Methods, and Analyzing Cost Assignments.
The course also provides cost execution: Process Spending Chain (end-to-end) and Reimbursable
(creating WBS elements) Transactions, Identify Intermediate Documents (IDOCs), Identify GFEBS
Reports and Develop a Spend Plan. GFEBS training provides a core financial Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) solution that is used to manage the Army's General Fund, dramatically improve
financial performance, standardize business processes and ensure the Army can meet future
needs for combat operations and day-to-day financial management activities. There are no course
prerequisites for attendance. Any Service Member or Civilian who has been command-designated

GENERAL FUND ENTERPRISE BUSINESS SYSTEM (GFEBS) TRAINING ENVIRONMENT – ALSO
KNOWN AS THE GFEBS SANDBOX. The GFEBS training environment provides an enterprise-wide
virtual training environment that enables and supports comprehensive Operational and
Institutional training as well as civilian workforce development requirements in order to enhance
readiness and achieve auditability. Leaders within the Operational Army can use the GFEBS
Sandbox for training opportunities to familiarize personnel with a fully functional training
environment capable of processing GFEBS data entry, certification of funds, processing of reports,
and so much more. The process to sign up is extremely simple and the Finance and Comptroller
