ARTICLE I

NAME

The name of the Association shall be ‘The World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth’
and its acronym is ‘WFBY’.

ARTICLE II

EMBLEM, MOTTO, FLAG, AND SONGS

Section 1 The General Conference of the WFBY shall adopt an official emblem
motto, flag and songs.

Section 2 The emblem, motto, flag and songs of the WFBY shall be used for
only such purposes as shall be authorized by the Executive Board
of the WFBY.

The emblem of WFBY shall be the Dhamma Chakka with a ‘Y’ letter in the center
of the wheel, representing Youth.
The Motto of WFBY shall be Buddhist Youth Serve the World.

The official flag of WFBY shall be the same as The WFB international Buddhist
flag with WFBY emblem being at the center of the flag.
The common seal of WEBY shall be the same as the emblem of WFBY (Section 1 above).

ARTICLE III

PURPOSE

The purposes of this association shall be: -

• To operate as a non-governmental, non-sectarian and non-profit Buddhist
organization.
• To promote and strengthen among the young generations, observance and
practice of teachings of the Lord Buddha, to inculcate piety towards the Triple
Gem, parents and elders.
• To secure unity, solidarity and brotherhood among Buddhist Youth.
• To organize and carry on activities in the field of Social Economic, Educational,
Recreational, Cultural and Religious and other Humanitarian Services.
• To work for securing Peace and Harmony among youth, including to cooperate with
The WFB and to collaborate with other organizations working for the same end.
