I am very pleased to extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all participants of the
29 General Conference of The World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), the 20 WFBY and 11 th

Meeting of the World Buddhist University Council being held at Marroard International Narita
Hotel in Japan.
My Ansimjeongsa has been approved by the 91 EXCO Meeting and confirmed by this General
st
Conference to join in The WFB as a new member of Regional Centers for which I feel so great to
have the honor with pride. As Ansimjeongsa Regional Center entirely agrees to the objectives
and activities of The WFB, we will do our best at anytime to drive ourselves heartily for fulfilling
the roles and achieving the targets successfully by sharing helping hands each other.
In retrospecting the last 27 years activities as a Buddhist priest which separately provided
with the introducing booklet for your reference, I have entirely devoted myself for propagating
and enhancing the sublime doctrine of The Lord Buddha to our domestic society for a first 15
years by founding 5 temples nationwide in major cities of Seoul, Busan, Taegu, Daejeon (Nonsan)
and Jeju Island in Korea, and meanwhile, I have been focusing on overseas propagation for the
late 12 years by means of reaching out to places where there is need for help by delivering relief
supplies to people at risk from natural disasters including earthquakes, civil wars, and provided
economic support for the country which seeks to realize the Land of Buddha, and have been
working on active exchanges of international Buddhist cultures with Buddhist organizations
around the world as well, that all are entirely same as the objectives and activities of The WFB, so
that we are further more pleased to get on the right path for enhancing the sublime Teachings of
the Lord Buddha to the world by integrating us into The WFB so as to be able to step up forward
more extensively and efficiently into the world.
By virtue of being a new family of The WFB, we wish further (a) to promote and propagate
the sublime Teachings of the Lord Buddha to the world, and (b) to organize and carry on activities
in the field of Social, Educational, Cultural and other humanitarian services, and (c) to work for
securing peace and harmony among humans and happiness for all beings by collaborating with
other Regional Centres in brotherhood for the same ends, which are referred from the educational
direction of the World Buddhist University.
Recently the world is seriously suffered from struggles for dismantling nuclear weapons,
poverty and difficulties from the frequent natural disasters. This theme “Compassion in Action:
Creating Hope and Life in Death” is well timed resolving the global conflicts and difficulties. As
H.E. the President of The WFB clearly mentioned, we Buddhists firmly believe that Buddhism can
only bring peace and happiness to mankind. With the spirit in action of compassion, Buddhists
can solve all problems and troubles so that peace and harmony may replace conflict and discord
throughout the world.
On this auspicious occasion, once again I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to
Most Venerable the Chairman, Honorable EXCO Members and Secretary General, staffs, and our
host, Japan Buddhist Federation, and send my best wishes to everyone participating here in the
29 General Conference in Japan, and this General Conference every success with the blessing
