1. The crankshaft position sensor is mainly used to measure the engine speed, and convert the engine speed
signal into an electric signal, which will be transmitted to ECU. ECU will calculate the engine speed as per

this signal, refer to the signal of camshaft position sensor, and judge the stroke position of piston inside the air
cylinder to control its fuel injection time, fuel injector pressure and capacity, etc.

2. Failures of crankshaft position sensor are mainly presented by engine not starting, difficult to start or
shaking at high speed
