Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts DI - 47
Diagnosis procedure IN
Caution
●Before the following steps are executed, ensure that the connection between the engine ECM and the DI
intake manifold pressure / temperature sensor is well connected.
● Before performing electrical diagnosis and test, refer to the schematic wiring diagram and EG
components information
● Before performing the measurement, first check the connector pins for fracture, loosening or rusting
TR
to ensure good contact of pins.
● After turning the ignition switch to “ON” position, the engine can’t run, the pressure of manifold is
equal to atmospheric pressure, and the sensor signal will output a high voltage. AX
1. Read the DTC and data on the diagnosis instrument
FR
a. Start the engine and run it to the normal working temperature
b. Use the diagnosis instrument to perform DTC confirmation procedure
ST
c. Perform the procedure of reading the sensor data stream
d. Read the intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor data indicated on the diagnostic unit.
BR
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>intermittent failure
BW
NO>go to Step 2.
2. Check the power circuit of intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor
EL
a. Ignition switch: ON.
b. Measure the voltage between the pin 2 and the ground
from the back of the intake manifold pressure / temperature
sensor connector A009
Standard voltage:
Multimeter connection Standard value
A009(2)-grounding About 5V
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 3.
NO>Repair or replace the failed harness
3. Check the ground circuit of intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole
c. Disconnect the connector A009 of intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor and ECM connector A001
separately
