3. Check the oil supply system of generator IN
a. Check if the high pressure pump leaks or is stuck.
b. Check if the oil pipe is broke and if the joint is secured and reliable. DI
c. Check if the oil metering cell and harness are ok.
d. Check the fuel pressure sensor (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault diagnosis–fuel EG
pressure sensor failure)
Check if the result is ok? TR
Yes>go to Step 4.
NO> check and repair relevant failure. AX
4. Check the crankshaft/cam shaft position sensor and relevant circuit
a. Check the crankshaft position sensor (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault FR
diagnosis–crank position sensor failure)
b. Check the camshaft position sensor (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault
ST
diagnosis–camshaft position sensor failure)
Check if the result is ok?
BR
Yes>go to Step 5.
NO> check and repair relevant failure or replace relevant sensor or harness.

5. Check the injector and circuit
a. Check the injector (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault diagnosis–injector circuit

failure)
Check if the result is ok?
Yes>go to Step 6.
NO> check and repair relevant failure or replace the injector or harness.
6. Replace and check ECM
a. Replace ECM.
b. Check if the failure is eliminated.
