DI - 84 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

              3. Check the starter.

              a. Check the starter or starter circuit.
Check if the result is ok?

              Yes>go to Step 4.
No>remedy the trouble, and confirm it won’t exist any longer.
              4. Check the crankshaft/cam shaft position sensor and relevant circuit

              a. Check the crankshaft position sensor (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault
              diagnosis–crank position sensor failure)
              b. Check the camshaft position sensor (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault
              diagnosis–camshaft position sensor failure)
Check if the result is ok?

              Yes>go to Step 5.
NO> check and repair relevant failure or replace the failed sensor or harness.
              5. Check the coolant temperature sensor and circuit

              a. Check the coolant temperature sensor. (refer to Chapter DI diagnosis- engine electronic control fault
              diagnosis–coolant temperature sensor )
Check if the result is ok?
              Yes>go to Step 6.

NO>replace the failed sensor or harness.
              6. Check the pre-heater fuse and relay

              a. Pull out the preheating fuse, and observe whether the fuse is molten.
              b. Pull out the preheating relay, and adopt a multimeter to measure the conductivity between pins 85 and 86 or
              pins 30 and 87.
              Standard:

                            Multimeter connection Standard value

                                   85-86 Conduction

                                   30-87 No breakdown
Check if the result is ok?
              Yes>go to Step 7.

              NO>replace the fuse or relay
              7. Check the pre-heater

              a. Adopt a multimeter to measure the resistance between both ends of preheater.
              Standard resistance:

                            Multimeter connection Standard value

Two ends of pre-heater About 7Ω
