b. Attentions for connector operation
Adopt a blower or similar tool to heat the part possible to
cause the fault and check whether the fault occurs.
● In case of removing the connector with latch, squeeze the
connector slightly in jointing direction, and then press down
its buckle lightly to open the latch.
● In case of removing the connector, be sure to hold the
connector, and don’t pull the harness.
● In case of connecting the connector, be sure to check the
connector for deformations, damages or pin missing.
● In case of connecting the connector with latch, be sure to
hear “clicking” sound to ensure its firm connection.
● In case of checking the connector with a multimeter, be
sure to check the back of connector (harness side) with a
micro probe.
Caution
● Since the waterproof connector can’t check from its
back, please connect the auxiliary harness before the
check.
● Move the probe with care, and don’t damage any pin
of connector. Confirm the key points for connector
check.

c. Confirm the key points for connector check.
Loosening of
turned edge Check the following points while connecting the connector:
● Hold the connector, and check its insertion and locking
conditions (i.e. bonding conditions).
Wire core
Check the following points in case of disconnecting the
Bent pin
connector:
● Pull the harness lightly, and check its pins for missing,
Light pulling
bending or center harness for fracture.

● Visually check the connector for rusting, inclusion of
metal chippings, water entry, or check the pins for bending,
rusting, inclusion of foreign substances or deformations.

Check the contact pressure of pin:
● Prepare a male plug, insert it into the socket plug, and
check its bonding conditions and sliding resistance.
Caution
In case of checking the gold-plated socket plug, be sure
to adopt the gold-plated male plug.
