d. Repair methods for connector pins. IN
● If the contact has oil dirt, be sure to use an air gun or rag
for cleaning. Don’t grind the contact with a rag, otherwise it DI
may damage its electroplated coating.
● If its contact pressure is abnormal, replace the socket
EG
plug. If the male plug is gold plated at this time, be sure to
replace the gold-plated socket plug; if the male plug is silver
Correct Error
plated, be sure to replace the silver-plated socket plug. TR
e. Attentions for harness operation
AX
● Before starting to remove the harness, be sure to check the
Error
positions of harness and harness tie for correct
FR
re-installation.
● Don’t distort, pull or suspend the harness excessively.
● Don’t make the harness contact any hot, rotating, moving, ST
vibrating or sharp part (e.g. panel edge, screw sharp end,
etc).
BR
● During the installation of part, don’t squeeze or clamp the
harness.
BW
● Don’t cut or break the harness insulating bush. If it’s
broken carelessly, be sure to replace the harness or wrap its
broken part with an insulated cloth. EL
2. Basic inspection
a. The circuit is shown in left figure. Check the conductivity
and voltage separately as per Steps (b) and (c) to confirm its
Broken circuit
Sensor broken circuit.
b. Conduction checking
● Disconnect Connectors A and C, and measure the
resistance between them.
Resistance: ≤2Ω
Sensor
Caution
Gently shake the harness along the horizontal and
vertical directions and measure the resistance
Take this circuit as an example
Resistance between Connectors A and C: ≥1MΩ
Resistance between Connector A and Pin 2 of Connector C:
≤2Ω
The broken circuit between Connector A and Pin 1 of
Connector C can be judged from it.
