IN - 44 Introduction - How to remove the vehicle faults
● Disconnect Connector B, and measure the resistance
between the connectors.
Take this circuit as an example
Sensor
Resistance between Connectors A and Pin 2 of Connector
B1: ≤2Ω
Resistance between Connector B2 and Pin 1 of Connector
C: ≥1MΩ
The broken circuit between Connector B2 and Pin 1 of
Connector C can be judged from it.
c. Voltage check
● In case of energizing the circuit, determine its broken
circuit by checking the voltage.
● In case of taking this circuit as an example, each
Sensor
connector remains connected. Measure the voltage of #1 pin
of connector A, #1 pin of connector B and #1 pin of
connector Cat 5V output pin of control module to ground
separately in turns.
The measured results are as follows:
Voltage of A connector #1 pin to ground: 5V
Voltage of B connector #1 pin to ground: 5V
Voltage of C connector #1 pin to ground: 0V
The broken circuit between Connector B and #1 pin of
Connector C can be judged from it.
3. Short circuit check
a. As shown in left figure, the harness is short to ground.
Check its conductivity to ground via Step (b) to determine
Short circuit
Sensor its short circuit.
b. Conduction checking
● Disconnect Connectors A and C, and separately measure
the resistance of #1 and #2 pins of connector A to ground.
Resistance: ≥1MΩ
Caution
Sensor
Gently shake the harness along the horizontal and
vertical directions and measure the resistance
Take this circuit as an example
Resistance of #1 pin of Connector A to ground: ≤2Ω
Resistance of #2 pin of Connector A to ground:≥1MΩ
The broken circuit between Connector A and #1 pin of
Connector C can be judged from it.
