(b) Continuity check

• Disconnect connectors A and C,
and measure resistances to ground
sensor of pins 1 and 2 of connector A
respectively.

Resistance: >1MΩ
Tip:

Gently rock the harness both horizontally and
vertically, and measure its resistance.

Take this circuit as an example:
If the resistance to ground of pin 1 of
connector A is less than 2Ω; 01

and the resistance to ground of pin 2 of
connector A is greater than 1MΩ;
then you can judge that there is a short
circuit between pins 1 of connectors A
and C.

• Disconnect connector B, and
measure resistances to ground of
connectors A and B2 respectively.

If the resistance to ground of pin 1 of
connector A is greater than 1MΩ;
and the resistance to ground of pin 1 of
connector B2 is less than 2Ω;

then you can judge that there is a short
circuit between pins 1 of connectors B2
and C.
