Cd sound jump
Diagnostic Procedure
Tip:
Sometimes, CD sound jump will take place when your vehicle is running on a rugged road. This is
normal.
1. Checking a CD
(a) Ensure that the CD is free of deformation, dirt, and scratches.
(b) If too dirty, wipe and clean it radially
from inside to outside with a soft cloth as
shown in the figure.

Do not use any common CD cleaner or
antistatic protectant.
(c) Insert the CD.
Check audio unit for normal play.
Yes > Please use a clean CD which is free of deformation, dirt, and scratches.
No > Go to step 2.
2. Checking source file of CD media
(a) Replace with a known genuine CD or MP3 source file and play.
Check audio unit for normal play.
Yes > Please use a genuine CD.
No > Go to step 3.
3. Checking audio unit
(a) Check audio unit for correct installation.
(b) Check if fixing bolts of audio unit have been tightened.
(c) Check if circumstances of audio unit are kept away from dust.
Are check results normal?
Yes > Replace CD audio unit.
No > Reinstall audio unit and keep it away from dust.
