Fuel-Fuel tank
Replacement

1. Releasing fuel pressure (refer to “Chapter 11 Fuel, Precautions”)
2. Draining fuel tank (refer to “Chapter 11 Fuel, Precautions”)
3. Disconnecting battery negative cable
4. Disconnecting fuel sensor
(a) Disconnect connector of fuel sensor.
Tip:
There is usually dirt on the fuel sensor
connector. When it is difficult to disconnect,
you can lightly tap it for several times with an
appropriate tool before the operation.

5. Disconnecting front fuel delivery pipe
(a) Loosen front fuel delivery pipe joint
nut.

6. Disconnecting fuel return pipe
(a) Loosen fuel return pipe joint nut.

7. Removing cargo body guardrail assembly (refer to “Chapter 77 Interior/Exterior
Trims-Cargo Body Guardrail, Replacement”)
