Fuel-Fuel tank
Purification
1. Fuel drainage
(a) Open fuel tank cap and screw off drain
plug of fuel tank. After residual fuel is
drained, clean up stains on the plug and
then reinstall it.
11 2. Filling clean fuel
(a) Fill fuel tank with fuel until fuel level is
approx. 15~20mm from bottom of the
tank.
3. Cleaning fuel tank assembly
(a) Insert a hose with spray head to bottom
of the fuel tank.

air (b) Connect compressed air hose with the
purpose-made spray head. (The spray
head is a metal tube of 12mm outside
diameter and approx. 250mm length. 4~5
Ø1mm apertures are drilled on its one
end which has been seal welded. Its other
end is simply connected with the hose.)
(c) Seal oil filler with clean cloth veil. Turn
on compressed air switch and flush with
air pressure maintained at
0.382~0.594MPa. During flushing,
change positions of the spray head to
allow deposits and burs to stir with fuel.
Notice:
When using compressed air, wear suitable
goggles and face shield. Flying chips and dirt
will cause personal injury.
4. Cleaning fuel tank repeatedly
(a) After flushing the whole fuel tank with spray head, screw off drain plug to discharge dirty
fuel. Repeat thus 2~3 times to clean the tank up.
5. Checking fuel tank
(a) After cleaning the fuel tank, check it for breakage. If any, handle promptly.
6. Checking fuel tank cap
(a) Check if the fuel tank cap is in good condition. In the case of valve spring damage or rust,
service or replace it.
