TECHONOLOGY PODCAST COMING 2021
Southside ISD Technology Department is launching a new platform to commu-
nicate with our community by introducing a monthly podcast. Every month the
Technology Staff will interview a member of the Southside staff, or a Southside
student to discuss how technology is transforming the way they teach, learn, or
perform their jobs. We will be highlighting and discussing current educational
technology trends, district initiatives, and upcoming innovations. It will also
give further transparency and insight into the technology world, culture, and
leadership.
Podcasting will be a new way to give the Cardinal Nation an in depth look at the
behind the scene efforts of the SISD team and insight to upcoming projects and
initiatives. It is also a great way to learn about those who work hard for you. The first episode will be recorded soon.
Stay tuned!

TRANSPORTATION LAUNCHES NEW APP
“MyVIEW”
Southside ISD is about to launch a new application which can be downloaded onto your smartphone called “MyView”.
The app will allow parents to view where their student bus is on their smartphone device or tablet. Parents can create
“alert zones”that will send a message to their device when the bus is near their destination. We will begin pushing
flyers out on December 9, 2020 along with posting on our website with instructions on how to set up your device. As
parents sign up for the app. We will also be able to push out text messages to those parents who register in case of bus
breakdowns or delays in services. Secondary Students will be able to download the app to track their buses daily. We
are very excited about this app and hope that it will assist the parents in keeping track of their students’ bus routes
and any delays. If you have any issues downloading the app, please contact the Transportation Department at 210-
882-1624. See flyer on next page.
