Two Hearts Beat as One
Starting with five half hitches, and then with
some careful interlacing and manipulation, a
sheepshank variation with two symbolic
hearts linked makes a romantic love token.
1 Make five half hitches all with their
crossings the same.
2 Overlap the outer two pairs. The right
hitch of each pair is moved to the left and
7 over the left hitch, making two “hearts.”
3 The center hitch is interwoven through
the two “hearts."
4 The finished knot.
