allowed them an opportunity to respond based on their respective experiences with technology
and the possible role it plays in supporting knowledge construction in colleges and universities.
A total of nine questions which are directly related to the three questions asked by the researcher
in this study had the objective of providing answers to the research questions. A simple
percentage was calculated to find the extent at which the use of electronic mail (e-mail) assists
students in the improvement of their learning such as turning in assignments on time from their
respective homes or work offices without taken the pains of driving to school. Sending and
receiving immediate feedback from instructors on issues bothering along course content, and
most importantly asking and receiving answers to questions. It also reviewed how the role
played by electronic social networking websites such as Face book, Twitter, LinkedIn, Skype as
well as video sharing website like YouTube, Google.com, and blogging websites like BlogSpot
and WordPress access impact students’ learning outcome. The role of the identified technology
infrastructures as well avails the instructors an ample opportunity to not only teach with ease but
also reach students at anywhere and anytime spot. Other questions such as the significant role
played by the use of the contemporary smart-phones and on-line portal in accomplishing learning
were posed with positive answers that shows that technology plays a very promising role in
harnessing and supporting knowledge construction in colleges and universities as well as
changing the way academic curricula is written and taught in today’s changing technology driven
classrooms. The data collected were analyzed and presented.
Presentation of Results
The sample size of one hundred respondents drawn from different schools where students
are learning, and faculty members teaching answered the questions on how the role of
