Education and CAEP approved and fully accredited program offering
courses in administration and supervision. The program is designed to
meet the needs of persons desiring to become administrators in the
State of Maryland and who possess a Master's Degree in education.
Candidates in the program complete 19 credit hours of graduate study,
as stated by the Code of Maryland Regulation 13A.12.04 B requirements
for Administrator I certification.
The program prepares candidates to be effective educational leaders at
the building level and fosters academic rigor in a collaborative,
personalized learning environment. The program demands quality in
academics; encourages reflection; and supports the development of
personal and interpersonal skills. Research on teaching, learning and
technology applications are embedded and emphasized throughout the
program to enhance candidate knowledge and skills.
ELCC (Educational Leadership Constituent Council) and ISLLC (The Interstate
School Leaders Licensure Consortium) Standards drive the School
Administration and Supervision Certification I Program's goals, objectives,
and mission.
NOTE: Completing the 19 credit hour program qualifies candidates for
certification from the Maryland State Department of Education. This
certification is only recognized in the State of Maryland.
