               COURSE DESCRIPTION
               The course will focus on the theory, techniques, and practices applied to enhance the learning
               experience for adult learners. The goal is to understand the framework for motivating, coaching,
               instructing, developing plans and projects and evaluating the needs of the adult learner. The course
               will explore the Androgogy Model for its applications in academia and the workplace.

               COURSE OBJECTIVES
                     At the conclusion of this course participants should be able to:
                     Explain and apply andragogy and pedagogy as outlined.
                     Apply situational leadership model to the teaching of adults and compare and contrast the
                       model with Knowles’ andragogical continuum.
                     Develop a learning contract and apply this method as a facilitator of adult learning.
                     Develop an understanding and awareness of what it means to be self-directed.
                     Understand the characteristics of a self-directed learner and how to strategize learning
                       opportunities that are most likely to encourage self-directedness.
                     Explain the impact of changes in population demographics, technology and global
                       economics on adult learning.
                     Use various questioning techniques to manage group learning activities.
