PREREQUISITES:
The student must have successfully completed all prerequisites to specifically include HURD 601
and HURD 690 before taking this course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to provide the human resource practitioner with an understanding of the
various types of educational and business research. Focus will be given to the process of writing the
required Human Resource Development seminar research paper. The course content includes a
discussion of research frameworks, design strategies, critical evaluation and analysis of research
materials and report writing. By the end of the semester, each student is required to submit a
structured research proposal on a topic that is approved by the instructor that includes the required
written components.
