                     Professional Organizations & Associations




               BSU sponsors a variety of campus wide and national professional associations. You are
               encouraged to participate in these activities either by being an active member and/or attending
               sponsored events and activities.

               BSU Human Resource Development Society – EVOLVE:

               The  Mission  of EVOLVE  is to promote information exchange and to develop networking
               opportunities between HRD students and HRD  professionals in order to increase awareness of
               changes, updates within the HRD field, to upgrade and improve the professional skills of HRD
               students as well as engage current students and alumni in providing services to our community.  Our
               services are designed to foster effective and efficient use of the Human Resource Development
               Program, to promote an environment where dignity, ethical and diversity are valued, all students are
               respected, their contributions recognized, and their career development encouraged.

               EVOLVE’s Purpose is to ensure course success, curriculum competence, and college experience
               satisfaction during their program study, with a keen awareness of the value for career development,
               to participate in business activities with local, state, and national organizations to further enhance
               learning by networking with traveling to various businesses and to increase the awareness of HRD
               principles, practices, job opportunities, and to upgrade the professional skills of students.

               EVOLVE’s Goals include:

                   •  Providing a multitude of assistance that supports HRD students in development socially,
                       academically, and professional as he/she participates in the programs the Society provides.
                   •  Assists HRD students in setting attainable goals and progressing toward these goals and
                       enhancing individual academic success.
                   •  Implement a regularly scheduled series of events that involves current HRD students, HRD
                       alumni, business/community organizations, and the citizens and residents of the surrounding
                       community.
                   •  Implement programs to increase and retain membership.
                   •  Improve coordination of campus activities and events.

               The School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education Human Resource Development program
               sponsors the Human Resource Development Society. The society is run and managed by HRD
               students and everyone is encouraged to participate as a member, attend society functions, and read
               the quarterly HRD Newsletter.

               The Membership Fee is $40. Complete the EVOLVE Membership Application in the Appendix
               to become part of this great society.
