HRD Program Course Outline
The Master of Human Resource Development has 10 required core courses, eight (8) concentration
electives, and research advisement. To customize your plan of study, you and your advisor may also
choose electives from other areas such as Management, Business, and Organizational
Communication with a foundation in HRD. You may transfer a maximum of 12 credit hours from
another accredited university. You will need to get the courses approved first, and the courses must
fit within the guidelines of the HURD program and be approved by BSU.

HURD 881 Research Advisement is also available to students who are unable to complete their
thesis during HURD 806 Research and Analysis, Interpretation and Proposal Writing and HURD
880 Integrative Seminar. It is three (3) credit hours and you will need to register for it. Discuss
this option with your advisor.
