               Prerequisites: HURD 806 Credits: 3
This course has dual foci: (1) to provide an academic framework in which human resource
practitioners can synthesize their knowledge, and (2) guidance in the application of the knowledge
and skills obtained as seminar topic proposals developed during the planning stage (HURD 806) are
completed. Topics include current issues in adult learning, training and education; design of training

               Prerequisites: HURD 881 Credits: 3

               Course Curriculum
The course work curriculum for each class varies. With the exception of participation, it is
mandatory for all classes. This is because student participation is an important part of each course.
In an adult learning program, the student brings as much learning and value to the class as the
professor. Therefore, your participation in class and in assigned groups is expected and required.
In certain courses, participation/attendance is a percentage of your grade.

In general, courses have a mid-term, a final, a group project, and an independent paper or project.
In this program, you will be honing your presentation and facilitation skills by presenting in all
classes. This will include presenting/facilitating a module/chapter and presenting project findings.

               Textbooks
The costs of textbooks vary from class to class. However, on average you can expect to pay
approximately $150 per class. All books are available from the BSU Bookstore. You can often find
them for less online. However, keep in mind that you are responsible for having your books when
               you need them.
