Create a Better Place for Social Interaction
In the 2013 Global Green Space Report, it points out that green space is a human right. It
not contributes to the health mentally and physically, but also is an effective way for people to
connect with each other. The report claims that green space is account for residents’ sense of
security. It helps to enhance social connections between neighbors. People prefer to meet in
parks and get to know each other, and therefore improve social networks and social capital,
enhance community cohesion and pride, and improve community safety.
Nevertheless, for young children, playing is learning. Games can help children develop muscle
strength and coordinate language, cognition, thinking and reasoning skills, promote their
growth of new nerve cells, improve brain memory and learning ability. Building parks and
green spaces is providing an opportunity for children to play and let children get closer to
mother nature, which can improve their psychological and emotional health, and have a positive
impact on children’s behavior. Playing in the park cultivates children’s love of life. In addition,
it provides a safe environment of entertainment for teenagers and reduces the incidence of
