FEMALE EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT AT MIDDLETON HIGH SCHOOL
The AUDACIOUS Ladies of Distinction at Middleton High School hosted a “Female Empowerment Summit” at the school. Three speakers shared information with the young ladies about how they can empower themselves. “It is so im- portant for our youth to see the positive impact that their peers are making at their schools and in the Tampa Bay Com- munity,” Club Sponsor, Stevonia Dixon, Area 7 District Office, Hillsborough County School District, said. The speakers were: Travis Brooks, of Brooks Realty; Ashlee Simpson, PEMCO Air; and Courtney Derry, State Attorney’s Office. Mem- bers of the organization are: Angel Larry (Lennard), Da'Lauren Larry (Tampa Bay Tech), Kevonna Porteus (Middleton), Lakoya Kerr (Middleton), Precious Young (Middleton), Jayla Key (Middleton), Breanna Young (Middleton), and Princess Pinamang (Middleton).
