Several methods have been proven to prevent
          the risk of a first fall or to minimize the chances
                of recidivism following a first incident.



              Strengthening of the lower limbs through

              exercises proposed by the physiotherapist,
              to solidify the lower body in the medium or

              long term, helping to prevent injuries in the
              event of a fall.

              Development of balance: Tai Chi is an
              internationally recognized method to
              improve balance, but especially to prevent

              falls. According to studies, an elderly person
              who practises tai chi has a 13% lower chance

              of falling.
              Assessment of potential sources of falls

              in the home: with modifications, it is
              possible to greatly reduce the risk of falls (up

              to 20%).
              Cataract surgery (first eye): leads to a 37%
              reduction in falls.

              Review of medication by a health care
              professional can also help reduce the risk of

              falls by 27%.
