The solid soprano with a clear timbre Ella Taylor gives full anchoring to the fugitive
interventions of the Rooster and The Innkeeper's Wife, just like Elizabeth
Cragg whose same qualities emerge for La Poule or le Geai. The warm mezzo-
soprano Kitty Whately enters with talent and responding in the skin of the Dog, the
Woman of the Gamekeeper (a little disoriented by the presence of The Fox and its
fleas), The Owl (which works with cancans) and the Pivert, always in situation.
The young bass William Thomas slips for his part with great ease into the clothes of
the Badger, but especially of the Curé who is locked in his quotes and principles,
then camped a strong poacher (the one who is right of the Cunning Little Fox to
offer a fur sleeve to his promise). The vocal emission appears very nourished, with
an eye-catching timbre and deep bass. William Thomas will also his debut at the
Opéra Bastille in Richard Wagner's Parsifal on the occasion of the revival of the work
scheduled for May 2022.
The spectators also salute the children of the Holy Trinity Catholic School in
Birmingham for their unreserved involvement in this great adventure (even if the
accuracy is not always perfectly at the rendezvous). Further back, the Choir of Radio
France unfortunately, a small number of staff lacks confidence and relief.
The evening arouses the enthusiasm of the audience and the many children present
in the room.
