1.1. It is a condition of service that you are in good health at all times. If called upon to do so, you agree to
submit yourself, at any time and at the Company’s expense, for an examination by a medical doctor
appointed by the Company. This will be a prerequisite should you be absent from work as a result of illness
for any period exceeding 1 (one) week during a 3 (three) month period.
1.2. If you injure yourself during a shift, you must report your injury immediately to the manager on duty.
Failure to do so may render you non-eligible for workmen’s compensation cover.
• Call centre: Six-day week of 54 hours, with three day breaks in-between.
• All other staff: Five-day week of 45 hours.
2.1. Overtime, public holiday and|or weekend work may be required when authorised by your manager.
Management will attempt to notify you in advance where possible. Time off in lieu of overtime
compensation is practised. As the nature of your work may be that it can be performed unsupervised
outside of the company’s premises, it is the employee’s responsibility to ensure all overtime is approved,
confirmed, agreed to and signed off by management.
2.2. Management reserves the right to change your work area and working hours to suit the operational
requirements of the Company and of its customers whenever necessary. Your hours and shifts may change
from time to time to suit the needs of the business.
2.3. Your meal and tea breaks shall be taken during the day at times that best suit the needs of the business
and customers.
2.4. Should you be absent for a period of more that 3 (three) working days and fail to notify the Company,
it will be deemed that you have absconded. The Company will have no alternative but to terminate
your contract of employment for absconding.
