{The peace agreement between Egypt and Israel caused a shock to the leaders of the Arab
countries and the Arab street, which took an exciting decision to announce the boycott of
Egypt, which was known for its Arabism during the days of Abdel Nasser, suspend its
membership and move its headquarters from Cairo to Tunis.
The Arab countries held a conference in Baghdad in 1978, specifically in November, in the
presence of 10 countries that decided to reject the agreement and boycott Egypt, except
for Oman, Somalia and Sudan. The so-called "rejection front" was formed under the
leadership of Iraq, and the headquarters of the Arab League was moved from Cairo to
Tunis. Days after the boycott of Egypt, the Tunis summit was held, to confirm the
continuation of the boycott, the suspension of Egypt's membership in the Arab League, and
