the two bights to make a rung five or six inches wide. Work from right to
left, and be sure that each turn is snugged up tightly against its
neighbors.
5. When the last turn of the first rung has been completed, pull the
working end of the right leg through the loop of the left-hand bight. Note
that the right leg has now become the left, and vice versa. Remove the
finished rung from the nails and draw the parts up tight. Continue making
rungs every 10 inches, taking care to keep the intervals between rungs
the same length on both sides.
