Next morning, he met with some of his friends who were already experienced
"imp warriors" and they told each other stories about the imps they had
defeated. Jonathan told them how he had beaten the Imp of Fear using The
Power of Courage, when he finally got himself to step into Tommy's house
in spite of his huge dog. Olivia told everyone how she finally managed to
overcome the Imp of Self Diminishment (he was trying to get her with his
usual "there's no way I can do this – I suck at this"); she used The Power to
Believe in Myself to answer one of the teacher's questions in class, and she
even got it right! Ron told them how the Imp of Anger almost took control
of him and almost made him punch Michael but then Wizder the Observer
showed up and reminded him how to summon The Power to Use Words to
Express What I Feel. Ron was able to tell Michael to stop, and explain that he
was very irritated by his face-making. Michael was kind enough to stop, and
the Imp of Anger left, disgraced and embarrassed.
"Now I see what Ace did!" yelled Jonathan with excitement.
"Who is Ace?" his friends asked with curiosity.

"The circus manager from my dream… the one that tied imps to his wagon
like horses after subduing them", said Jonathan and blushed a little. "Actually,
when I overcame my Imp of Fear from the dog, it did not go away; it turned
into The Power to Be Careful and Keep Myself Safe; it kept me from going too
close to the dog. Only after I had asked Tommy again, whether or not the dog
ever bit, and after he had promised that it really was a good dog, did I get close
to it and even petted it."
Olivia remembered that the Imp of Lack of Self-Confidence didn’t really go
away, but he did make her think about her answer before she spoke, and so he
turned into The Power of Self Examination.
Ron realized that his Imp of Anger could help him be clear about what he
wanted and demand that others stop bothering him when they did so. He also
discovered that if he still had some anger left in his hands, he could turn it
into The Power of Strength. With this power he was able to carry six chairs by
himself when the teacher asked everyone to get chairs from the storage room!
