Wizder the Observer told the children that CHAPTER 7

when the imps manage to overcome them,
they sometimes blow up and grow so much THE TAMED IMPS CIRCUS
that they fill your entire heart and body.

When this happens, it becomes hard to tell That night Jonathan dreamt he was in a very peculiar circus. Instead of elephants
and lions, this circus had tamed imps that behaved like the magical powers he
the child and imp apart, and very difficult to already knew. The circus manager's name was the Ace of Magical Powers, but

tame that imp. everyone called him Ace for short. He would catch imps and ride them until they

He then showed them a magic trick: were completely subdued, then he would tie them to a large wagon and have

“If you're able to identify your imps when them carry the entire circus from one town to another…
they are small, at the very moment they lift
the lid off their boxes inside your hearts – it
will be easier for you to subdue them, tame

them or transform them into your friends."

"And how will we do that?" asked the children.

                                                       Wizder answered,

"It's very simple. Each imp sends messages
and signals in your body before they emerge.

We've already learned that the Imp of
Anger makes us feel a knot in our stomach
or a contraction in our jaw; the Imp of Fear

makes us have rapid heartbeats, short
breath, tremors or sweating; and the Imp of
Timidity makes us feel very small as if we
                                                       were shrunk."

         Ask the children:
Can you identify any additional physical sensations and examine which imps make you feel this way?
