Sexual No federal laws presently exist that prohibit
discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation
Orientation The Employer Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)
has been reintroduced in Congress and would
extend federal employment discrimination
protections to cover sexual orientation
Originally ENDA included transgendered, but
this has been removed in order to gain support
for the legislation
Federal employees are protected by the Civil
Service Reform Act of 1978, which prohibits job
discrimination for any non-job-related issue.
