Recommendation 3 - Create a consolidated

report that ties together key data from a variety

of screens that assists with daily reconciliations

Fields in BIS where data is collected is essentially a repository of data. If the information

resides in BIS as a data element, in theory, we should be able to access it. Consequently, any

calculated field in BIS is also data that we should be able to access as well. During the daily

reconciliation process, ROD currently uses a variety of screens where data resides to manually

complete required reconciliations. This recommendation incorporates the use of technology that

gathers data from selected fields and presents them on a consolidated report that reflects all of
                                DRAFT
the data that we need on a single report, thus greatly streamlining an otherwise manual process.

We should note that this recommended process does not eliminate the screen or reports

that produces the data that we need. The system simply goes to those screens and “fetches” that

data and sends it to the consolidated report that we want to review for reconciliation purposes.
