Recommendation 4 - Create an ACH payments

interface with BIS to account for all payments

received

ACH payment processing affords beneficial processing enhancement due to file specifications

that can be mined for use in internal processes. In this case we can leverage data transfer through

the creation of an interface between payment processors and BIS. Through this process, ROD

will be able to more easily reconcile payments from its ACH systems. ROD will be able to easily

identify discrepancies and resolve them more expeditiously.

CI methodologies enable significant benefit from the combination of multiple interventions

that help to improve processes. Taken together as a package of capability enhancements, these

recommendations will allow much easier reconciliations and streamlined processes.

We include a basic preliminary “to be” diagram that graphically depicts the process flows that

are enabled through these recommendations. As a part of this potential future state, we can

incorporate existing process measures which can allow us to capture metrics on true process

improvement significance.
