LAUNCHES AN
ANNUAL PROJECT
At Queens United Lions Club, we encourage our
members to share their choice for a relevant
community service project.
Lion Betty Cruz owns a catering business and
decided to honor our local officers with a Police
Officers Appreciation Day. Lion Vincent assisted
with the arrangements.
On April 28th, Lion Betty transformed her location
with beautiful decorations, delicious food and fancy
cookies that said, “ Thank You 110th Police
Officers”.
District Governor Anthony Cochran and several of
our club members welcomed each guest saying
“Thanks for your dedicated service that protects our
neighborhood.”
It was gratifying to see them enjoy a moment of
peace, which they truly deserve, before heading out
to patrol the busy streets in Corona, Queens.
Lion Betty Cruz pledges to repeat this project
annually.
