NOVEMBER IS WORLD DIABETES MONTH

DISTRICT DIABETES COMMITTEE
ZUMBA 4 DIABETES
To commemorate National Diabetes Awareness month,
the District Diabetes Committee hosted “Walk n Zumba”
at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on November 6.
Participants included Lions from Queens United, Queens
Columbia, Brooklyn Metropolis, Arverne Visionary and
Brooklyn Rising Stars Lions Clubs (see group photo)

It was encouraging to see the large number of
passersby who “teamed” with us on the Walk, then
joined Lion Gwyn Jones as she gave guided instructions
for the Zumba class .

Association. They walked to raise awareness about
Juvenile Diabetes.
