DISTRICT 20-K1 BREAST CANCER FUNDRAISER REPORT

To increase public awareness about Breast Cancer,
the committee conducted a fundraiser to support
the work of the organization by donating to the
cause.

The effort was a roaring success. The room
reflected many different shades of PINK ! Food and
drink were plentiful and our famous D. Jay Desi
“Aubrey” kept the crowd on the dance floor
stomping away Breast Cancer. Representatives
from the American Cancer Society was also
present. They were presented with an initial
monetary donation of $12,225.00. District 20K-1
Cancer Committee’s goal is to raise $20,000.00 by
December 31, 2023, to secure Flagship Status for
our District.

District Governor Antonio Robles advised that the
Lions of District 20K-1 are fully supporting the
American Cancer Society with the challenge to
eradicate Breast Cancer. Patrons were
encouraged to consider admission charges as a
goodwill donation.

Congratulations to Lion Donarie Fenton,
Chairperson and the committee members for a job
well done.

For those (male and female) who are experiencing
or have experienced the disease of breast cancer,
stay encouraged, be strong and continue to remain
hopeful. Firmly believe that it is FAITH OVER FEAR.
