LIONS CHANGES THE CANARSIE COMMUNITY
“SENIOR RESOURCE DAY”

member of Canarsie Lions Club hosted the

annual “Senior Resource Day” She was
assisted by fellow Lions from Canarsie,
Central Brooklyn, Transition and Crowns
Heights who conducted registration, served
food, packed and distributed bags with face
masks, fresh fruits, vegetables and assorted
non-perishable food staples.
This was also an opportunity to share
important health and mental wellness
information relevant to pediatric through
seniors’ health, mental wellness and legal
resources. Venders included The Campaign
Against Hunger, Emblem Health, National
Blood Clot Alliance (Stop Clot), Empire,
Brownsville Multiservice “BMS” Family Health
and Wellness Center, New York Presbyterian
Hospital, and One Brooklyn Health.
Lion Sandrina Kingston (Brooklyn Crown
Heights) addressed how individuals with
disabilities can live fully independent lives.
Lion Ty’East Alleyne-Bobb (Central Brooklyn), Healthy food items are ready for distribution
encouraged participation in free adult
