BROOKLYN TRANSITION LIONS
CHANGE THEIR COMMUNITY:
One Project at a Time
On August 17, Lions Pamela Taylor and Brenda Cox (Brooklyn Transition Lions Club) assisted at
the Vandella Senior Center in Spring Creek. They assisted Lion Senator Roxanne Persaud’s staff
to sort and package food for later distribution to area residents. (See photos) They also
registered 150 seniors and their caregivers to receive these donations.

On August 22 , the Lions volunteered with a large contingent of other District 20 K 1 Lions at
Lion Senator Roxanne Persaud’s (Annual Free Funday and Back-To-School Giveaway at Canarsie
Park.
Lion Brenda Cox helped the staff set up, while Lion Pamela Taylor registered well over six
hundred children. She was featured briefly on News 12 – Brooklyn, distributing backpacks and
other school supplies. (See photo)
