RICHMOND HILL/SOUTH OZONE PARK distributes rain barrels
Photos show club members with NYS Senator Joseph P Addabbo. They distributed over 150 rain barrels to the community on
August 13th in Richmond Hill. The event was will supported by the community. We are looking forward to continuing
collaboration with our elected officials.
VANDERVEER PARK/GLENWOOD LIONS at Renaissance Garden
On Saturday August 6, members of the Vanderveer Park Glenwood Lions were supported by other Lions from the District to conduct a
hands-on environmental project at the St. John’s Place Renaissance Garden in Brooklyn, NY. (see photos)
Lions performed various tasks, including cleaning, weeding and planting. At the end of the day, several garbage bags of debris and
trash were collected and appropriately discarded. This is an on-going project and members of the District are urged to participate.
