The analysis towards our audience can be done in three steps. They are the
analysis before the speech, during the speech and after the speech.

Knowing our audiences’ backgrounds and attitudes can be helpful to
determine the topic and the objective of our speech, to develop our outline and to
deliver our speech. There are three main information we can gather related to our
audiences before the speech.
1) Demographic audience analysis
Analysis on audience’s demographics especially requires the speaker to be
aware of the audience’s age, gender, sexual orientation, culture, ethnic and
race, member groups, and socioeconomic status. Considering those aspects
will help the speaker to be able to adapt the diverse audience and prepare the
