How to say it?
Elaborating Standard Operating Procedures
Introducing the purpose or relevance of a procedure:
• “Let me walk you through the standard procedure for…”
• “Here is how we usually handle [task] in the library.”
• “According to our library SOP, this is what you should do when…”
• “The procedure ensures that everyone can use the facility fairly and efficiently.”
• “This is the general process we follow to…”
• “Please note that we have specific steps for using [facility/service].”
• “Our library has a set of guidelines to ensure everything runs smoothly.”
Sequencing Steps in a clear logical order:
• “First/to begin, you need to…”
• “Then, please proceed to…”
• “After that, make sure you…”
• “Finally, don’t forget to…”
• “Once you’ve completed that step, you can…”
• “Before continuing, make sure you…”
• “The next step is to…”
• “At the end of the process, you’ll receive…”
Informing Requirements:
