               In writing a business letter, we have to make sure to use formal language. Here are some examples:

                                                       Business Terms
                   Merger (n)           An  occasion  when  two  or  more  companies  or  organizations  join
                                        together to make one larger company.
                   Remuneration (n)     Payment for work or services
                   Trademark (n)        A name or symbol on a product that shows it was made by a particular

                                        company, and cannot be used by other companies without permission
                   Invoice (n)          A  list  of  things  provided  or  work  done  together  with  their  cost,  for
                                        payment at a later time
                   Deficit (n)          The  total  amount  by  which  money  is  spent  is  more  than  the  money
                                        received
